- Hivernage — upscale hotels, pools and nightlife, walkable to both the medina edge and Gueliz.

- Bahia Palace & the Saadian Tombs — the finest examples of Moroccan craftsmanship in the city, and cheap to enter (70 MAD each).
- Jardin Majorelle & the YSL Museum — cool, calm, and beautiful; book the timed ticket online to skip the queue.
- Le Jardin Secret in the heart of the medina — a restored riad garden, perfect mid-afternoon pause.

Getting around
The medina is walkable and most of it is car-free — comfortable shoes beat any taxi inside the walls. For longer hops:
